What’s up Everybody,
I’d like to thank Chris Oliver Jr., Chris Oliver Sr., Jimmy Stewart, Chuck Warner, and Chuck Miller Jr. for hanging out at the Bay Bridge Boat Show and the Maryland Maritime Heritage Festival. Their efforts are greatly appreciated.
On to some racing updates...
The Portsmouth, Virginia race April 19-20th was a weather-shortened event. Jimmy Stewart ran good with a second overall in JS-721. Robert Presley Jr. ran third in the JS-9, E-1 A&A Shameless Batt Racing got a second overall, and Tom Ebeling ran second in the NM-285 Wet Dreams. Sid Johnson won first for the weekend in his S-14 Beverly Ann with Jimmy Shane driving. Y-80 Outlaw had fuel issues and Sonic Speed blew up before the start of the first heat.
KNRA’s owners and crews are tweaking their boats for Lake Hopatcong, NJ, on May 17th and 18th. It’s always an exciting weekend up there with all kinds of good racing. On my next update, we’ll hopefully be going over the Lake Hopatcong race.
As an update to this year's Thunder on the Narrows...
Bill McCowan has received a guitar made by Paul Reed Smith to be raffled off again this year. On the next update, we’ll have details on how to get raffle tickets. We also hope to have t-shirts for sale and those details will follow.
Later,
Billy
